I was on assignment in Eastern Samar when typhoon Nalgae, locally known as Pedring hit Manila with all its fury so I missed the main event. Seeing how it trampled Manila on television was one thing but hooting the aftermath gave me an idea how violent Pedring really was. When nature unleashes, we pretty much can’t do anything but be in awe.
