It can be such a frustrating thing when one of your parents question your motives for going through floodwaters and take you as just a kid having fun taking photos. You don’t know whether to feel bad she thinks that our job is that shallow or to feel bad that her mind is so closed to this fancy little world she lives in. Either way, I’m done with hoping for them to understand why I do what I do.
